Ted Benge, owner, was born and raised in Carbondale, just down the road from Aspen, and grew up hunting, hiking and exploring the mountains with family and friends. Through years of working on the Cap K Ranch, situated on the Frying Pan River above Basalt, he developed a love for working outdoors with animals. After travelling the world to pursue an education and brief career in the corporate world, he returned home to pursue a life sharing adventure.

Outside of outfitting, Ted enjoys spending time with family and friends, and is an avid reader, skier and archer. His backcountry pursuits have inspired action to conserve and protect wild animals and wild places, and Ted is a founder and current President of Western Slope Wildlife Advocates, a grassroots organization whose mission is to preserve, through action and education, wildlife habitat and populations in Colorado's Western Slope.
