For Capitol Peak rides and fishing excursions, please find us at the Hay Park Trailhead. For East Maroon rides, please meet at the East Maroon Portal.
Please arrive 30 minutes ahead of your ride so that we can execute waivers, review ride safety, and match you with your horse.

We recommend long pants and flat-soled, close-toed shoes that will allow your foot to slide easily in and out of your stirrups.
We recommend bringing water and a rain jacket and / or extra layer depending on time of year. The weather here can be fickle, and we ponchos/slickers on our rides but some folks prefer to wear their own clothes.

We carefully prepare sandwiches and snacks for all half and full day rides, and include the option to add a delicious fried chicken lunch to any two hour trail ride.

We only walk on our rides. We conduct all of our rides in the stunning splendor of the mountains surrounding Aspen / Snowmass, where our horses work hard to carry us through steep and rough country - it simply isn't an appropriate venue. Also, our insurance does not permit anything over a walk.

Our rides begin at 8,500 feet, and may range as high as 11,600ft+. It is important to check with a doctor prior to ensure you are healthy enough to handle the associated activity.

We cannot accommodate riders over 250lbs.

We currently do not offer pony rides; our minimum age for horseback trail rides is 6 years old.

We will do our best to provide all of our clients with an incredible experience. If you are able and medically cleared, we would be glad to welcome you to our crew. Please make a note at the time of booking so we can adequately prepare.

Helmets are required for all riders under the age of 16, and are optional and available for everyone else
